自花寮農場開始實踐再生農耕,農地四處遍佈木碎和枯物,皆因健康的自然環境中,植物的枯葉樹枝總會落回泥土表面,面層甚少是光禿而無覆蓋的,因此農夫Green這半年間也仿效自然,作大面積廣泛枯物覆蓋,增加土表有機物殘餘及覆蓋厚度,提供食物護養土壤裡的微生物;同時配合「少翻土、少干預」的原則,令土地維持良好根系及土壤結構。
另一邊廂,踏入春夏,現在花寮搖身一變,變成「瓜瓜世界」!農場內正種植冬瓜、青瓜、合掌瓜、魚翅瓜等。本港的悶濕炎熱天氣下,白粉病為瓜類常見的流行性病害,農夫曾嘗試以EM菌混合海藻水,成功阻止問題惡化,無奈最終不敵炎熱天氣。現時農夫於瓜類培苗期間使用Sobe活性菌液,希望可贏在起跑線,及早提昇瓜苗的整體健康。
